Two different experiments were conducted at the universities of Illinois and Minnesota to evaluate the performance of weaned pigs fed Pro88 and to compare with weaned pigs fed different sources of protein. These studies also evaluate the possibility of replacing partially or completely ingredients used traditionally in the formulation of diets for weaned pigs such as spray-dried blood plasma, fish meal, and fermented soybean meal. Results indicate that there is no negative effect of replacing any traditional source of protein with Pro88. Pigs fed our product had a similar performance to those fed diets that not contained Pro88. Results also indicate that Pro88 can be used in diets for weaned pigs with a percentage of inclusion of up to 12%.
